This CD is all about listening to common drum patterns found in today's music, recognising what they sound like and then playing them by ear. As a professional teacher, I am always surprised at how few students play along to their favourite CD's as part of their practice time, which results in very little or no ear training. As a young drummer, playing along to my favourite songs was a large part of my training. I believe this helped me come up with patterns when there were no drum charts provided - which I must add, has been very frequent! On this CD, I've put together a collection of patterns that with some consistent practice, will train your ear to recognise them instantly and then be able to play them.
